Founded in 2007, the company has evolved to become a multi-faceted business that focuses on providing excellent teaching and learning resources and support to not only educators but to parents and carers also. We believe in teaching and learning differently, and creating a truly inclusive education experience for all.
In 2024, Reachout Educational got a face-lift when Lucy joined the organisation. Our ambition is to make Reachout Educational a global leader in outstanding teaching and learning resources focused on children that benefit from alternative teaching methods to reach their full potential.

Meet The Team


Barbara Perry
Founder and Director
Barbara is the founder and managing director of Reachout Educational Limited, which was founded in 2007 to help children who learn differently and support families and schools.
Barbara's teaching career has spanned over 48 years and still now at the tender age of 70 she is still supporting young people, families and educational settings.
She has spoken on educational issues and innovation, especially in the field of special educational needs and inclusion across the world for organisations such as NASEN conferences, SEN show Islington, Education Show NEC, Agadir Schools (Morocco), British Forces in Germany, International Schools in Switzerland and many Dyspraxia Foundation conferences across the UK.
Her well-known ‘Boxing Clever’, ‘Tools of the Trade’ talks and a variety of gadgets and gizmos are still as popular today as they were 20+ years ago.

Lucy Owen
Director
Lucy's background is in education, having completed her BA (Hons) in Applied Education Studies whilst working in a variety of different education settings.
She is passionate about making education accessible and engaging for all children and young people and believes in child-centric approaches. Many of the children and young people Lucy supported had SEND, and she became a specialist TA supporting children with Speech, Language and Communication difficulties.
Prior to joining Reachout Educational, Lucy was CEO of Dyspraxia Foundation, a national charity dedicated to supporting people with dyspraxia, and Head of FIRST LEGO League at The IET.
As well as Reachout Educational, Lucy supports a number of different charities as a Freelance Business Consultant.
